GOING POSTAL

Feds seize dozens for firearms, including machine gun, from Kauai postal worker's home

http://bit.ly/N8VIg1

"Hamura is facing charges of possessing a machine gun and lying about having permission to use the other person's firearm license to buy a weapon."

"Troy Haruki Hamura, used his job as a letter carrier to intercept the packag...es." Guess that's legal.

"Federal agents seized a large collection of firearms -- including a fully automatic M-16A1 assault rifle -- and 23000 -- rounds of ammunition."

"During the interview, Hamura turned in 19 unregistered firearms." Guess that's legal.

"The rifle is stamped 'Property of the U.S. Government' and has not been reported lost or stolen."

"The pretrial services discovered Hamura is taking medication and is under a doctor's care for deperssoion and other mental conditions." Seeking bail.

{Recently, I have made another complaint, in addition to the previous five, to the USPS - OIG, about mail I am to receive or have sent. I sent a certified letter to Richard E. Fairfax, Directorate of Enforcement Programs - OSHA, in Washington D.C., on the 2nd of December. The certification number is 7005 2570 0000 6898 2586. I look at the track and confirm feature at USPS.COM and there is no record of it having been delivered yet.}

I am told that if there is a specific room number on a peice of mail, only
someone from that room can sign for it. I have complained about employees at the
YMCA signing confirmations and receipts for me. I would think the postman would
be fimiliar with these rules.

Mail Theft Law & Legal Definition

Mail theft occurs when thieves steal mail that is not their own from postal trucks, collection boxes, apartment mailbox panels, co-op mailing racks, and neighborhood delivery and collection box units. Thieves often steal mail to obtain credit cards, social security numbers, bank statements, checks, and other personal information.

Mail and identity theft has been reported by postal inspectors to be the #1 white-collar crime in the U.S today. Some of the steps recommended to prevent mail theft, among others, include not leaving mail in the mailbox overnight, having the post office hold mail while you're out of town, and not sending cash in the mail, not leaving bils in your mail box for the mail carrier to pick up, and immediately notifying your post office and anyone with whom you do business via the mail if you change your address.

The following is a federal statute governing mail theft:

Section 1702.

Obstruction of correspondence

Whoever takes any letter, postal card, or package out of any post office or any authorized depository for mail matter, or from any letter or mail carrier, or which has been in any post office or authorized depository, or in the custody of any letter or mail carrier, before it has been delivered to the person to whom it was directed, with design to obstruct the correspondence, or to pry into the business or secrets of another, or opens, secretes, embezzles, or destroys the same, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than five years, or both.

THEY'RE OUT THERE

united states post office of Hawaii
USPS complaint

i won an auction from ebay, the guy i won it from lives about 5 miles from me. the package was sent media mail, the post office in hawaii sent the package overseas back to sacramento , ca then back to honolulu, then back to me. it took over 4 weeks to get to me , although the shop is about 5 miles from me. i think the hawaii post office may be the worst service you can find. in Kalihi, on the island of Oahu, Willie Ginoza works at the Kalihi branch of the post office. a real condescending piece of *** of a postal worker. you can take that to the bank! glad away from da kine island tinking....broke da mout!!!!
